For worktop fabricators & fitters

Template it, cut it, fit it, and have a photo of every stage.

Quartz, granite, solid surface or laminate, the job goes the same way: template, fabrication, install, and a customer who notices every chip. Banksman keeps each job’s templates, photos, fitters’ hours and slab orders together, so the workshop and the van are working off the same thing.

Sound familiar?

Where a worktop job goes wrong.

  1. The problem

The cut-outs don’t match the hob or the sink that turned up.

The template was taken from the old appliance spec. Nobody told the workshop the customer changed it.

    With Banksman

Put the template, the appliance cut-out sheets and the kitchen layout on the job. They’re on every phone, labelled by version, so the templater, the workshop and the fitters can check which one they’re cutting from.

    • Drawings for every site
    • Site group chats and direct messages
  2. The problem

“That chip wasn’t there when we chose it.”

A joint, a chip on an edge or a crack by the cut-out, and it’s your word against the customer’s once the fitters have gone.

    With Banksman

Set template, delivery and install as tasks. The fitter ticks each one off with a photo of the slab, the joints and the finished tops, stamped with the upload time from our server and who took it.

    • Tasks with photo proof
    • Photo library
  3. The problem

Fitters stood waiting for upstands, adhesive or a slab that hasn’t come.

Two fitters and a van booked for the day, and the second slab is still at the stone yard.

    With Banksman

The team requests slabs, adhesive, brackets and upstands with a quantity and a needed-by date. You can see each one go from ordered to dispatched to delivered, with a photo of the drop.

  • Photo library

Every photo is stamped with the upload time from our server, the site, the task and who took it. Location is optional, set by the company.

  • Material requests

The worker asks for the item, quantity, unit and needed-by date. Tracked from requested to approved, ordered, dispatched and delivered (or declined), with supplier, order ref, expected delivery and a delivery photo.

  • Timesheets

Daywork hours or price work per site or plot. The manager approves or queries with a reason, the worker fixes and resubmits. Grouped by week ending, CSV export, archived when paid.

  • Push notifications

Notifications go straight to the phone, so updates don’t sit unread.

Worktop fitters: questions

Straight answers.

What app can worktop fitters use to manage jobs?

Banksman gives every worktop job its own tasks, photos, drawings, hours, material requests and chat, so templating, fabrication and install are tracked in one place on the phone, from £79 a month inc. VAT for up to 10 users.

How do I protect against damage claims after a worktop install?

Photograph the slabs on delivery, the joints and cut-outs, and the finished tops before you leave. Banksman stamps every photo with the upload time from our server, the job and who took it, so you have a dated record if a chip or crack is queried later.

Can the workshop and the fitters see the same template?

Yes. Templates, cut-out sheets and layouts go on the job, on every phone, labelled by version, so everyone can check which version they are working from.

Does Banksman do quoting or CNC files for worktops?

No. Banksman runs the job: tasks, photos, drawings, hours and materials. Keep using your quoting and CAD or CNC software for pricing and cutting files.

Can I track templating, fabrication and fitting as separate stages?

Yes. Set template, fabrication, delivery and install as tasks on each job. Each is ticked off with a photo, so the workshop and the office can see where every kitchen is up to.

Can fitters log their hours per job?

Yes. Fitters log hours per job on the day; the manager approves or queries them, and the week exports to CSV for wages.

Can the workshop and the fitters message about a job?

Yes. Every job gets its own group chat, plus direct messages, so questions about a cut-out or a delivery stay with the job instead of in personal phone chats.

Do fitters need to download an app?

No. Banksman runs in the phone’s web browser and can be added to the home screen, so it opens like any other app without an app store. You invite the team by email and they log in on their own phone.

Can I put my company logo on the app?

Yes. Upload your logo and app icon and pick your colours in the settings, with a readability check as you go, so your fitters see your name. For a fully bespoke app there is the white label add-on, a one-off £999 inc. VAT.
