First fix to second fix, without chasing the timber or the drawings.
Studwork, joists and roof cuts on first fix; doors, skirting, architrave, stairs and kitchens on second. Joinery runs to the programme of every other trade, and it stalls the minute the timber or the drawing is wrong. Banksman keeps the tasks, drawings, price work and orders for every plot in one place.

What stops a joiner earning.
- The problem
You turn up for second fix and the plasterer hasn’t finished.
Three plots, one ready, two not, and the only way to find out was to drive there.
With BanksmanSet first fix, second fix and each stage per plot as tasks. When the trade before you ticks theirs off with a photo, you can see which plots are ready from your phone.
- Tasks with photo proof
- Photo library
- Push notifications
- The problem
Hanging doors off a drawing that’s been changed.
The door schedule moved and the drawing on the plot is the old one. Now there’s a lining to take out.
With BanksmanDrawings and door schedules go on every phone, sorted by site and labelled by version, so you can check which one you’re working from before you cut.
- Drawings for every site
- The problem
Price work per plot that never matches what you’re paid.
Doors hung, skirting run, stairs fitted, all on a rate per plot, and the measure gets argued.
With BanksmanLog price work against the site and plot as you go. The manager approves or queries it with a reason, and it’s grouped by week ending with a CSV export.
- Timesheets
What you get.
Tasks with photo proof
The manager sets the task for each site, with a trade, priority and due date. The worker ticks it off and adds the photo to prove it. Filter by site, trade, status or priority.
Photo library
Every photo is stamped with the upload time from our server, the site, the task and who took it. Location is optional, set by the company.
Push notifications
Notifications go straight to the phone, so updates don’t sit unread.
Drawings for every site
Drawings on every phone, labelled by version, sorted by site and downloadable on site.
Timesheets
Daywork hours or price work per site or plot. The manager approves or queries with a reason, the worker fixes and resubmits. Grouped by week ending, CSV export, archived when paid.
Material requests
The worker asks for the item, quantity, unit and needed-by date. Tracked from requested to approved, ordered, dispatched and delivered (or declined), with supplier, order ref, expected delivery and a delivery photo.
Site group chats and direct messages
A group chat for every site, plus direct messages, kept apart from your personal phone chats.
Site sign-in and sign-out
Sign in and out with a QR poster on site, with an optional location check at that moment only, and a fire roll call of who’s on site right now.
Installs like an app
Add it to the home screen and it opens like any other app. No app store needed.

Straight answers.
Is there an app for joiners to track first and second fix?
Yes. In Banksman, first fix and second fix are tasks per site or plot, ticked off with a photo, so you can see which plots are ready and which are done from your phone.
Can joiners log price work per plot?
Yes. Price work and daywork are logged per site or plot on the same timesheet, approved or queried by the manager, and exported to CSV for wages.
Can I order timber and sheet materials through the app?
Yes. Request CLS, joists, sheet materials, doors or ironmongery with a quantity and needed-by date; the office approves and orders, and you can see it to delivery with a photo of the drop.
Does Banksman do joinery cutting lists or quotes?
No. Banksman runs the job on site. Keep your own software for quotes and cutting lists.
Can I see which plots are ready for second fix?
Yes. When the trade before you ticks off their task with a photo, the plot shows as ready, and push notifications let you know without a phone call or a wasted trip.
Can I keep door schedules and stair drawings on every phone?
Yes. Drawings and schedules go on every phone, sorted by site and labelled by version, so you can check which version you are working from before you cut.
Can I photograph roof timbers and joists before they are covered?
Yes. Photos are kept against the site and task, stamped with the upload time from our server, the site and who took them, so you have a dated record once the boards go on.
Do joiners need to download an app?
No. Banksman runs in the phone’s web browser and can be added to the home screen, so it opens like any other app without an app store. You invite the team by email and they log in on their own phone.
How do I work out a joinery day rate?
Use the free day rate calculator on this site. It works out a day rate from what you need to earn, your days worked and your costs.
Know which plots are ready before you load the van.
