Show the client the work they can’t see from the ground.
Felt, battens, flashings, valleys and fixings are all out of sight once the tiles or slates are on. Whether it’s a re-roof, a flat roof or a run of new-build plots, Banksman gives you a photo record of every stage, hours that make sense on a wet week, and orders you can track.

What gets lost up top.
- The problem
“Did you actually replace the felt?”
The customer or the main contractor can’t get up there, so they’ve only got your word for it.
With BanksmanSet each stage as a task. The lad ticks it off with a photo before the next layer goes on, so you’ve got proof of every stage, kept against the job.

- The problem
Rain stops play and the hours go to pot.
Half days, rained-off mornings and a quick run to another job. By Friday nobody remembers who was where.
With BanksmanHours are logged per site on the day. If something doesn’t look right, query it with a reason. The lad fixes it and resubmits, so the week adds up before it goes to wages.
- Timesheets
- The problem
Short on tiles, wrong colour ridge, or delivered to the wrong address.
One short pallet can stand a gang down for a day.
With BanksmanRequest the tiles, slates or lead with the quantity, unit and needed-by date. The office approves, orders and adds the expected delivery, and the delivery photo shows what actually turned up.
- Material requests
What you get.
Tasks with photo proof
The manager sets the task for each site, with a trade, priority and due date. The worker ticks it off and adds the photo to prove it. Filter by site, trade, status or priority.
Photo library
Every photo is stamped with the upload time from our server, the site, the task and who took it. Location is optional, set by the company.
Timesheets
Daywork hours or price work per site or plot. The manager approves or queries with a reason, the worker fixes and resubmits. Grouped by week ending, CSV export, archived when paid.
Material requests
The worker asks for the item, quantity, unit and needed-by date. Tracked from requested to approved, ordered, dispatched and delivered (or declined), with supplier, order ref, expected delivery and a delivery photo.
Drawings for every site
Drawings on every phone, labelled by version, sorted by site and downloadable on site.
Site group chats and direct messages
A group chat for every site, plus direct messages, kept apart from your personal phone chats.
Push notifications
Notifications go straight to the phone, so updates don’t sit unread.
Your logo and colours
Upload your logo and app icon and pick your colours from the settings, with a readability check as you go. The lads see your name, not ours.
Health and safety documents with sign-off
Inductions, RAMS and safety procedures on every phone. Each worker reads and signs with their finger, a new revision asks everyone to sign again, and you see who has signed what.
Accident and near-miss reports
Report an accident or near miss from the phone, with stamped photos, while it’s fresh. Only the person who reported it and the managers can see it.
Site sign-in and sign-out
Sign in and out with a QR poster on site, with an optional location check at that moment only, and a fire roll call of who’s on site right now.

Straight answers.
How can roofers prove work to a customer who can’t see the roof?
Photograph each stage before the next layer covers it: strip, felt or membrane, battens, flashings and finish. In Banksman each stage is a task the roofer ticks off with a photo, stamped with the upload time, site and who took it, kept against the job.
Is there an app for roofing companies that handles rain days?
Yes. Hours are logged per site on the day, so half days and rained-off mornings are recorded as they happen. The office approves or queries them before they go to wages.
Can I keep working-at-height paperwork in Banksman?
Yes. Upload RAMS, method statements and inductions so every roofer reads and signs them on the phone, and see who has signed what. Accidents and near misses can be reported from the roof with photos. Check your own legal duties with your H&S adviser.
Can I order tiles, slates and lead through it?
Yes. The team requests materials with the quantity, unit and needed-by date; the office approves and orders, adds the supplier and expected delivery, and the delivery photo shows what turned up.
How do I keep track of which roof is at which stage?
Set strip, membrane, battens, covering and flashings as tasks on each job. The roofer ticks each off with a photo, and the manager dashboard shows how far along every site is on one screen.
Do roofers need to download an app?
No. Banksman runs in the phone’s web browser and can be added to the home screen, so it opens like any other app without an app store. You invite the team by email and they log in on their own phone.
Can I report a near miss from the roof?
Yes. Accidents and near misses can be reported from the phone while it is fresh, with stamped photos. Only the person who reported it and the managers can see it, and each report has a status, actions and a RIDDOR flag. Check your own legal duties with your H&S adviser.
How much does Banksman cost for a roofing company?
Starter is £79 a month inc. VAT for up to 10 users, Growth is £149 a month inc. VAT for up to 25 and Enterprise is £299 a month inc. VAT for up to 75. Every plan includes every feature, with no contract and no per-seat charges.
Does Banksman work without phone signal?
Not yet. Offline mode, which saves work with no signal and syncs when you are back in range, is being built and is marked "Coming soon". Until then Banksman needs mobile signal or Wi-Fi to save updates.
