For builders

Three sites on the go and you’re the only one who knows what’s happening on all of them.

Most small building firms run on the gaffer’s memory, a pile of texts and a diary in the van. It works until you’re off for a day. Whether it’s an extension, a refurb or a couple of new-build plots, Banksman puts the jobs, the hours, the orders and the site paperwork where the whole firm can see them.

  • Four fields and you're straight into the real app, no card, ever
  • Every plan includes every feature, from £79/month inc. VAT

Sound familiar?

Where a small firm’s week goes.

  1. The problem

You spend the morning ringing round to find out what got done.

One lad says the footings are poured, another says they’re waiting on the pump. You only find out who’s right when you drive over.

    With Banksman

Set the tasks for each site from your phone. The lads tick them off and add a photo, so you can see the job moving without leaving the one you’re stood on.

    • Tasks with photo proof
    • Photo library
  2. The problem

Friday’s hours turn into Monday’s argument.

Hours written on a scrap of paper, texted late, or just remembered. Then someone’s short and it’s your word against theirs.

    With Banksman

Everyone logs their hours against the site on the day. You approve them, or query them with a reason and they fix it. It’s grouped by week ending, and the CSV goes straight to whoever does your wages.

    • Timesheets
  3. The problem

Orders get placed by text and lost somewhere between the merchant and the site.

Nobody’s sure if the lintels and the steel were ordered, who ordered them, or when the wagon’s turning up.

    With Banksman

The lads request what they need on the app with a needed-by date. You approve it and add the supplier and order ref, and everyone can see it go from ordered to delivered, with a photo of the drop.

    • Material requests
In the app today

What you get.

  • Tasks with photo proof

The manager sets the task for each site, with a trade, priority and due date. The worker ticks it off and adds the photo to prove it. Filter by site, trade, status or priority.

  • Photo library

Every photo is stamped with the upload time from our server, the site, the task and who took it. Location is optional, set by the company.

  • Timesheets

Daywork hours or price work per site or plot. The manager approves or queries with a reason, the worker fixes and resubmits. Grouped by week ending, CSV export, archived when paid.

  • Material requests

The worker asks for the item, quantity, unit and needed-by date. Tracked from requested to approved, ordered, dispatched and delivered (or declined), with supplier, order ref, expected delivery and a delivery photo.

  • Drawings for every site

Drawings on every phone, labelled by version, sorted by site and downloadable on site.

  • Site group chats and direct messages

A group chat for every site, plus direct messages, kept apart from your personal phone chats.

  • Manager dashboard

Who’s on site now, hours waiting for approval, deliveries on the way and how far along every site is, on one screen.

  • Your logo and colours

Upload your logo and app icon and pick your colours from the settings, with a readability check as you go. The lads see your name, not ours.

  • Installs like an app

Add it to the home screen and it opens like any other app. No app store needed.

  • Labour cost per job

Approved hours times each worker’s rate, so you can see what a job is costing in labour.

  • Site sign-in and sign-out

Sign in and out with a QR poster on site, with an optional location check at that moment only, and a fire roll call of who’s on site right now.

  • Health and safety documents with sign-off

Inductions, RAMS and safety procedures on every phone. Each worker reads and signs with their finger, a new revision asks everyone to sign again, and you see who has signed what.

Builders: questions

Straight answers.

What is the best site management app for a small building firm?

Look for one your lads will actually use on a phone, priced flat rather than per seat, that covers the day-to-day: tasks, photos, hours, materials and drawings. Banksman was built by a working builder for exactly that, from £79 a month inc. VAT for up to 10 users, with a live demo you can try without a card.

Can I run more than one building site at once in Banksman?

Yes. Every site has its own tasks, photos, drawings, timesheets, material requests and group chat, and the manager dashboard shows who is on site, hours to approve, deliveries on the way and how far along each site is.

Can I use it for snagging lists?

Yes. Add each snag as a task against the site, assign it, and the lad ticks it off with a photo when it is sorted, so you have proof each one was done before handover.

Does Banksman help with health and safety on site?

Inductions, RAMS and COSHH assessments go on every phone for the team to read and sign with their finger. There is QR site sign-in with a fire roll call, and an accident and near-miss book. Check your own legal duties with your H&S adviser; Banksman keeps the records in one place.

Do my lads need to download an app from the app store?

No. Banksman runs in the phone’s web browser and can be added to the home screen, so it opens like any other app without an app store. You invite the team by email and they log in on their own phone.

How much does site management software cost for a small builder?

Starter is £79 a month inc. VAT for up to 10 users, Growth is £149 a month inc. VAT for up to 25 and Enterprise is £299 a month inc. VAT for up to 75. Every plan includes every feature, with no contract and no per-seat charges.

Can I see which trades are on site right now?

Yes. Put a QR poster at the entrance and the team scans in and out with their phone. You can set a radius for each site so sign-ins from further away get flagged, and the dashboard shows a live roll call of who is on site, including for a fire evacuation. Location is checked at sign-in only, never tracked.

Can Banksman replace the WhatsApp group for each job?

Yes. Every site gets its own group chat, plus direct messages, kept apart from personal phone chats. Tasks, photos, drawings, hours and deliveries sit against the same site, so nothing gets buried in a chat.

Does Banksman work without phone signal on site?

Not yet. Offline mode, which saves work with no signal and syncs when you are back in range, is being built and is marked "Coming soon". Until then Banksman needs mobile signal or Wi-Fi to save updates.

Run the firm, not the phone.

The live demo is the actual app on realistic sample data. Four fields and your logins are on the next page. No card.
